Help us understand the problem

Include your phone model, Android version, app version, and what happened just before the issue. A screenshot can help. Don’t send passwords or unnecessary personal information.

Common questions

I can’t hear the voice.

Check your media volume and audio output, including Bluetooth headphones. Check your installed Android text-to-speech engine and language, then use Test voice in Voice settings. Include the speech-engine name when contacting support.

A sensor is unavailable.

Not every phone has every sensor. An unavailable reading does not indicate a fault with your phone.

My session ended when I switched apps.

Sessions end when Spooky Box goes into the background. Return to the app to view the session log. Spooky Box does not run sessions in the background.

How do I share a session?

Open its session log and use text export to choose a destination in Android’s share sheet. Export includes the word log.

How do I remove my data?

Delete sessions in the app, or use Android’s app settings to clear app storage. Uninstalling also removes the app’s private data from your phone; Spooky Box data is not included in Android backups or device transfers. Copies already shared to other apps or recipients must be deleted separately. Contact privacy@spookybox.app about information you sent by email.

I bought the unlock and it still says confirming.

Keep Spooky Box open on Wi-Fi or mobile data and tap Try again when the button appears. Spooky Box also checks again every time you open the app. Your payment is safe with Google Play. If it is still confirming after a few minutes, use Contact support on that screen or email support@spookybox.app.

How do I restore my unlock?

Your unlock normally comes back by itself the first time you open Spooky Box after reinstalling or on a new phone, as long as you are signed in to the Google account that bought it in Google Play and the phone is online. If it does not, open Settings and tap Restore purchase in the Purchase section.

Refunds

Purchases and refunds are handled by Google Play, which sets the refund rules. Google explains them, and how to ask for a refund, on its page Learn about Google Play refund policies. If you need help, email support@spookybox.app.

Privacy

Read the privacy policy for information about session data, purchases, speech services, exports, and support messages.
